A Special Retirement Gift Experience!

I have just taken part in a wonderful retirement gift from my sisters, TaRita, Connie and Lisa and nieces, Saylor and Lauren. On Saturday, June 8 through Tuesday, June 11, they treated me to the ultimate quilting retreat experience at the Pelican View Quilting Retreat House in Galveston, Texas.

The weekend was chockful of family time and quilting. Saylor and Lauren are veteran quilters, while Connie is a beginner, Lisa and TaRita are newbies. On this excursion, I wanted to ensure that everyone had a great experience with the art of quilting and could take home a tote bag commemorating our getaway.

I made one for Sue, Owner of the Pelican View Quilting House as a "thank you" gift. She loved it!
