Adding Texture to Quilting

My texture is hand Sashiko on a textured denim background fabric.
Sashiko is a traditional Japanese stitching technique known for its simple, rhythmic running stitches, usually worked in white thread on indigo fabric. Originally practical, it’s now widely used decoratively in quilting and textile art.
I plan on incorporating blocks into a denim quilt inspired by Japanese stitching and Gee’s Bend inspired improv. A mixture of two cultures.
