Every quilt has a story, and it was an honor to help tell Twonda’s.

After Twonda designed and pieced her beautiful Gee’s Bend inspired quilt top, affectionately named “Sassy,” I enhanced it with Sashiko stitching on my Brother Sashiko sewing machine, creating the look of traditional hand stitching. Those stitches added rich texture, warmth, and a touch of nostalgia that beautifully complemented her design.

I recently completed the longarm quilting and added the binding, and now “Sassy” has made its journey back home. There is something especially rewarding about returning a finished quilt to its maker, knowing it will be loved, used, and treasured for years to come.

Thank you, Twonda, for trusting me with your beautiful quilt. It was a joy to be part of its journey. 💜
