Christmas In March!

What better time than the month of March to finally quilt a piece I created two years ago.
While visiting Boulder, Colorado, to see Deion Sanders, Shedeur, Shilo, and the rest of the Colorado football team, I took time to explore several local quilt shops. Of course, I couldn’t leave without bringing home a few beautiful fabrics. One particular line immediately caught my eye because it offered a refreshing twist on traditional Christmas fabrics—stepping away from the typical reds and greens with a palette that felt modern and unique.
My sister, Constance, and I later collaborated to longarm quilt the top, and the finished quilt turned out beautifully. It was such a joy to see the design come to life with texture and movement across the surface.

By the way, the screensaver on my television is “Young Flute Player” (also called “Boy Playing the Flute”) by the Dutch Golden Age painter Judith Leyster, painted around 1635. It is part of the permanent collection of the National Museum in Stockholm.
